With roadside litter in evidence across the county, a Pembrokeshire MP is campaigning for tougher action to tackle a growing problem.
MP Stephen Crabb called the widespread problem of litter a disgrace in a video shared on social media recently and included here.
In the video, the Member of Parliament for Preseli Pembrokeshire says that more and more people have written to him about the problem; they want to see tougher action, and they want to see things change. They know that it’s damaging the area’s reputation as a tourist destination and they know it’s bad for wildlife and the environment.
Stephen Crabb MP added:“We have a growing problem of litter in Pembrokeshire, with roadside verges increasingly littered with fast food wrappers, coffee cups, and energy drink cans.
“People have got in touch with me angry and concerned about the state of the county. They want to see action.“
Mr Crabb has written to Pembrokeshire County Council, Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority about tackling the growing issue, asking them “what’s the plan?”. But he would also like to hear from residents - what do you think?
