Local firefighters tackled two blazes in Pembrokeshire during Bonfire Night and the following morning.
At 11.14pm on Tuesday, November 5, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock Fire Stations were called to an incident in Ferry Lane, Pembroke Dock.
Crews responded to one shipping container containing mixed scrap and tyres that was well alight on their arrival. The fire also involved approximately 100 tyres. Crews utilised four breathing apparatus sets, one ground monitor, one 45mm jet, two hose reel jets and one water bowser to extinguish the fire.
Crews continued to dampen down remaining hotspots and left the scene at 5.07am the following morning.
At 11.38am that same morning, Wednesday, November 6, crews from Haverfordwest and Milford Haven Fire Stations were called to a commercial fire in The Bristol Trader, Quay Street, Haverfordwest.
The fire was located on the ground floor of the two-storey building, spread to the first floor and roof space. Crews utilised eight breathing apparatus sets, four hose reel jets, one 45mm main jet, small gear and a turntable ladder.
Crews left the scene at 13.58pm. All staff are safe, it has been confirmed.
