Tenby RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat the Haydn Miller was requested to launch at 9.50 pm on Monday night, following concerns for the safety of a vessel and its crew travelling between Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Whilst on exercise earlier in the evening, the lifeboat had already towed the vessel to the lifeboat mooring off Tenby, after finding it drifting in North bay, having broken its mooring.
The volunteer crew were soon alongside the casualty vessel and the occupant informed them he intended to return the vessel to Saundersfoot, so the coxswain put two crew members aboard to assist him, before escorting the vessel around to the safety of Saundersfoot harbour.
The lifeboat then returned to station, arriving at 10.50 pm.
