Early yesterday morning (Thursday, April 27) crews from Carmarthen, Pontiets, Tumble and Whitland quenched a fire at Nant y Bwla, Carmarthen.
On arrival, one garage measuring approximately 15mx6m was well alight and crews extinguished the fire using four hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras, a short extension ladder and one water bowser.
Crews proceeded to cool hot spots and conducted an inspection of the attic space of an adjoining property for fire spread and hot spots. Crews continued to dampen down and monitored the temperature in the attic space.
No casualties were reported.
The Carmarthen crew conducted a reinspection of the property at 6.41am today (Friday, April 28), which found one small hot spot which was dampened down.
