Tenby Soroptimists rounded the year off with a week of activity.
Members Wendy, Jan, and Pam decorated the Soroptimist Christmas tree at St Johns church this week, then on Tuesday the members celebrated with a delicious Christmas lunch at the Giltar hotel, followed by an hilarious rendition of a Soroptimist version of ‘The twelve days of Christmas’.
In lieu of Christmas cards, members presented President Pam with a donation for a charity of her choice. The money was spent on essential groceries for the Community Hub cafe in Lower Frog Street, run by Rebecca and Ian Rees. Sainsburys supermarket also contributed with a gift voucher for extra treats for children who visit the centre.
“We would like to wish everyone who has helped us spread the name of Soroptimism this year, a very happy Christmas and a big Thank you,” say the president and members of the Tenby club.
“Thank you also to all the staff at the Tenby Observer, for your continuing support.”
