ON an afternoon of wind and rain, it was a relief to escape to Penally Village Hall for an enjoyable afternoon of Duplicate Bridge. 

Possibly owing to the weather, five full tables were in play on August 19. It was lovely to see Paul B back at table 1 full of the joys of Spring after his recent operation.

Top pair was Lucy & Barry with 64.06%, a long way ahead of Paul & Stuart on 56.77%. Joint third were John & Jill and Kath & Dinah, sharing 56.25%.

After a Bank Holiday break, the Club will meet again on Monday, September 2 at 1.15pm in the Village Hall. Visitors are always welcome.
