The many years of service of much-loved Lay Reader Judith Francis were celebrated recently at St Andrew’s Church, Narberth.

Judith became Lay Reader at St Andrew’s 43 years ago, serving alongside five different incumbents in the Benefice, which included initially the churches in Robeston Wathen and Crinow (now closed), and now extended to Templeton, Minwear and Ludchurch. Judith was also a regular visitor at local Nursing Homes and preached in a number of other local churches outside her own group.

The Joint Pastorate service included prayers and a presentation to mark Judith's ministry and thanking her for her dedication to the life of the church.

Judith now enters a new phase of her ministry, as Reader Emerita, based mainly at St John’s Church Templeton. She will be very much missed as a regular presence in the other churches but these congregations will look forward to welcoming her to social and other events whenever possible.
