On what became the hottest of summer days, Tenby Friendship Club made an early start to the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
On arrival, the buggy drivers advised the visitors to go into the Dome - the glass house - first before it became too hot, but it was already Hot!
Everybody separated off to do their own sightseeing, some going to the highest lookout point, some to the walled garden, others to the medical museum, and so on. Everyone had lunch under an umbrella or tree!
After visiting the plant sale area, members got back on the air-conditioned Taf Valley coach by 2pm for the return journey to Tenby. It was a lovely day out on June 26.
On July 3, members met for their final meeting before the summer holidays, for a cream scone, cream meringue and ice cream and strawberries. Half a dozen members won raffle prizes. The noise of talking people was tremendous and the weather turned from rain to blue skies and sunshine.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 4. Enjoy your holidays!
