OVER 30 Tenby Friendship Club members listened to a talk by Carolyn from the Tenby Observer.

Carolyn showed a copy of the first ever paper which was just a list of names of visitors to Tenby, then the 150 year celebration paper which she enjoyed doing.

Carolyn told how she moved from London to Tenby and was pleased to be offered a job on the newspaper. And she has been there ever since and watched many changes happen, the latest one being that the adverts in the newspaper are now designed in India each week, and then printed in the UK.

The members thoroughly enjoyed Carolyn’s talk. The Chairlady, Anne Elms thanked her for coming and spending the afternoon with them. They then proceeded to celebrate Hallowe’en with special cupcakes made by Jan for the afternoon tea break.

Today, the November 6, the Club starts again with a talk about Morris Bros. New members welcome.
