For the Gild of Freemen of Pembroke annual church service on November 17, members and guests joined worshippers at St Mary’s church, Pembroke.

Gild Chaplain Revd Canon Roger Jones conducted the service and guest preacher Rev’d Martin Cox delivered a most thoughtful and memorable address.

Master of the Gild Cllr Dennis Evans and the Deputy Master Cllr Aden Brinn JP read the lessons.

Amongst the guests of the Gild were the Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Cllr Steve Alderman; the Mayor of Pembroke, Cllr Ann Mortenson and her Consort, Mr Dennis Goldsworthy; the Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Cllr Maria Williams and her Consort Mr Stuart Williams; the Deputy Master of the Haverfordwest Gild of Freemen, Mr Ian Thomas and his Lady Mrs Michele Thomas.

Following the service, the annual luncheon took place at The Coach House Hotel, Pembroke, when the Master of the Gild delivered his speech, reviewing the Gild’s activities and looking forward to the coming year’s events and discussions.
