Pembroke Male Voice Choir’s 2025 St David's Day celebration concert in aid of the RNLI at Monkton Priory Church raised £255 for the charity.
This significant sum will buy the RNLI a Lifeguard's special wetsuit, needed for he or she to save lives confidently and safely in all sorts of water temperatures.
Thanks go to loyal local supporters of both Pembroke Male Voice Choir and the RNLI for making this possible. Always a joy to see you all.
A unique programme had been compiled by Musical Director, Juliet Rossiter.
“The magnificence of the choir and soloist's performances in this medieval church was beyond words,” said Daphne Bush, Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild.
“Compère Matthew John, said we were ‘in for a treat’; we certainly were !
“Our treats included memorable choral pieces with choir solos, supported by choir accompanist Reverend William Lambert.
“In choral breaks, we heard the incredible singing of Morell Ryan, whose final notes really did reach the roof!
“A piano solo too, from Choir accompanist, Rev’d William Lambert, playing a piece by French composer Claude Debussy.
“On behalf of the RNLI, our thanks to the Reverend Heidi De Gruchy, Mrs Jackie Crossman and the church committee for everything within the church for this event. To achieve what we do, we are ‘One Crew’ in the eyes of the charity. Thank you all.”
