Knowing that for some Sunday can be a very quiet (and potentially lonely) day of the week, Picton Castle Gardens in Pembrokeshire are trying something new: Social Sunday.

The first Social Sunday will be tomorrow, Sunday, January 19, meeting at 1pm -3pm.

Organised by volunteers, a short walk has been planned, showcasing the best of what is in the garden now, before heading on to the café.

“As we've never done anything like this before we would love to hear your thoughts on how this might develop as you the local community would like,” say the team at Picton Castle.

To help start it off, on this first Sunday, those attending the meet won’t have to pay admission. If you wish to have refreshments you will need to purchase them, but you can join the group in the café without making a purchase.

Visitors are advised to wear sensible and waterproof shoes in case the grass is wet.
