The countdown is on to the RNLI sponsored fun/run walk and novelty dog show.
The four or eight-mile route across Castlemartin Range is a unique and outstandingly beautiful training ground for runners or walkers - get sponsored while you train, in aid of the RNLI, at this event on August 19.
Collect sponsorship and just leisurely enjoy your chosen distance walking or running the course if you wish.
The amazing free RNLI 24/7 rescue service and seasonal lifeguard service is funded by events such as this.
Cubs, Scouts, Guides, Schools or similar young persons groups can 'keep half of the sponsorship' they raise for their group this year.
The Pembroke Dock Sea Cubs, led by Mr. and Mrs. Cardy, of Pembroke Dock, have raised a huge amount for the RNLI and themselves for many years.
We have all facilities for your comfort on site, ie a marquee, kindly donated three years ago by Chevron and recently supported by Valero, seating, parking, first aid, water out on the route, water for your dog and toilets.
A novelty dog show will take place this year on site at Newton Tower, near St. Govan's, for 'man's best friend' before your 'sponsored' dog goes off on his walk, on his lead, on Castlemartin Range.
We have a well-known TV presenter celebrity guest attending with his dog, who will be sending you off on your chosen route across the range with its stunning landmark views such as Huntsman's Leap and the Green Bridge of Wales.
All possible courtesy of our hosts the British Army at Merrion Camp, near Castlemartin. Sponsor forms are available now from Viv on 01646 672168 or Daphne on 01646 681437/07790310830. Please ring, we can deliver too.
