The trial was recently held of a Narberth man who initially denied theft from a Tenby shop.

The 38-year-old faced charges of theft from Tenby Stores and Post Office, Ruabon House, Tenby, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, both on September 26.

Joshua Spicer, of Castle Terrace, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on November 7 having entered not guilty pleas at a hearing on September 30, but changed his pleas to guilty. A further specific charge of threatening behaviour was dismissed on grounds of lack of evidence.

A victim personal statement was presented. Spicer was fined £45, plus compensation of £2.50. Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were set at £85.
