A SAUNDERSFOOT man has been fined and received penalty points for driving without insurance on a local road.
The man, who resides at Pennant Avenue, pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle on Templebar Road on February 16, 2024 when there was no third party insurance in force - an offence under the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Magistrates took the defendant’s guilty plea into account when sentencing at Haverfordwest Court on November 25. The 42-year-old was fined £440, and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.
Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were assessed at £150, with a surcharge of £176 to fund victim services. A collection order divides the total payable into monthly instalments of £65.
