A WHITLAND man has been given a suspended sentence after being found in possession of a Class B drug and an offensive weapon in a public place.
Luke Steele, of Cross Street, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court in April after being convicted of having 2.4g of herbal cannabis and a lock knife in his possession at Johnston on February 28.
The 25-year-old was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, suspended for 24 months, based on a “realistic prospect of rehabilitation and strong personal mitigation.” Rehabilitation activity includes 100 hours of unpaid work. The lock knife was confiscated and the forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis was ordered.
Costs to CPS were set at £85 with a surcharge of £154.
