Recently published research tells how psychologist-led one-to-one coaching sessions at Milford Haven School saw staff absence fall by near 40 per cent over three years.
Study author Dr Chintha Dissanayake said it was ‘novel’ that 95 per cent of the school staff participated in the voluntary programme between 2019 and 2021.
“Staff felt more engaged and confident; they knew more and felt focussed on what they were doing.”
A 2024 wellbeing survey shows the programme is still having a positive impact.
