Today, August 18, is the ‘moment of truth’ as students receive their A-Level results. Congratulating students, Welsh Conservative Shadow Education Minister, Laura Anne Jones MS said:

“I would like to wish everyone receiving results today the very best of luck and congratulate students on their hard work during difficult circumstances. I would also like to pay tribute to the incredible teachers and staff who have taught and mentored students, helping them to achieve success.

“I hope that you achieve everything you have set out to but would like to stress that there are many different routes you can take and that great things have been achieved by people who did not attend university.

“This will thankfully be the last year of Covid-related interruptions to pupils’ studies, and I hope the next cohort will be able to enjoy a sense of normality and are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
