Films4Tenby will be showing the latest historical epic from acclaimed director Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Robin Hood) Napoleon (2023, 157 mins, cert 15) at the De Valence Pavilion in Tenby.

The film will be shown on July 23 with the doors opening at 6:30 and the movie starting at 7pm.

It stars Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte with Vanessa Kirby as the love of his life Josephine. The story picks up in 1793 following the beheading of Marie Antoinette and charts Napoleon’s rise to power as he becomes Emperor, detailing his campaigns in Egypt, Austria and Russia leading to his exile to Elba and the following Battle of Waterloo.

The battle scenes are suitably epic and the film was nominated for three Oscars and won Best Costume Design at the Satellite Awards.

Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for Members, £10 for a Family of Four.
