St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire will be the venue for a New Year concert by the acclaimed Welsh National Opera Orchestra (WNO).
The concert on Saturday January 20 at 2.30pm marks a welcome return by the Orchestra to start the 2024 season of the Fishguard Festival of Music.
Presenting a brilliant and varied selection of music by Brahms, Delibes, Dvořák, Schubert, Johann Strauss II, Josef Strauss, Richard Strauss, Weber and more., the Orchestra will be led by Concert Master David Adams. Guest soloists are soprano Emily Christina Loftus and mezzo soprano Beca Davies.

The WNO Orchestra has a stature and reputation as a world-class ensemble in its own right, taking part in the Welsh Proms in Cardiff each year. The orchestra has a well-established concert touring programme to regional venues throughout Wales, including an annual Viennese New Year tour as well as a regular summer series of popular operatic concerts across all four corners of the country.
A festival bus will operate to bring concert goers from Cardigan, Newport, Dinas, Fishguard and Goodwick.
