Nineteen members attended the September meeting of Ludchurch WI at Longstone Community Hall

Nine apologies were received.

Members were welcomed to the meeting on September 7 by the president. Three members had birthdays in September and the group sang Happy Birthday to them all and gave their best wishes.

One item to note in the monthly newsletter was the Pembrokeshire WI Annual meeting to be held on November 22, 2023.

The summer trip to St Fagans was mentioned as members had a most enjoyable outing there in August.

Christmas celebrations were discussed and it was agreed that this year would be an evening meal somewhere.

Speaker for the evening was Tracy from the Coterie leather studio based in Llawhaden. She informed the group that all of her items are handmade and that her ethos is sustainability and minimising waste. She gave an interesting talk about her background and how she came to be in this line of work.

Tracy then judged the bag making competition before the evening concluded with a buffet supper.
