The Quaynotes Choir is now in the final stages of rehearsals for its performance in conjunction with other local mixed choirs at this year’s Tenby Festival to mark St David’s Day.
The opening concert will take place in St John’s Church, Tenby on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 7pm, following which there will be a retiring collection in aid of PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship).
The choir’s programme has not yet been finalised at the time of writing, but, in a nod to Saints Dwynwen and Valentine, will include a Welsh love song and another song in a language not in common parlance. Can you guess what it is?
As well as choral performances, there will be an opportunity for congregational singing of favourite traditional hymns, so do go along and help the Quaynotes Choir ‘raise the roof’.
In case you were wondering, our local male voice choirs will be showcasing their expertise on the following evening, Friday, March 1 at the Folly Farm Theatre, commencing at 7.30pm.
