Tenby Male Choir were joined by families and friends at their Annual Lunch on Sunday, January 28 at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby .
As well as enjoying their delicious meals, the afternoon featured a raffle, long service awards and various thank-yous. A video looking back on a very successful 2023 was introduced by Senior Chorister Duncan Hilling, who was unable to be with them in person.
Tenby Male Choir’s Music Team, Jill Williams, Musical Director Paul Rapi and Miranda Morgan were thanked for making 2023 such a successful year.
Top tenors Peter Neate received his 25 Years Service Certificate from secretary Mike Slade. Top tenor David Blackmore received his 25 Years Service Certificate from Terry Evans. Top Tenor Paul Varallo was thanked for 21 years service as the choir’s principal soloist.
Baritones David Stewart-Walvin and Roger Stephens each received a15 Years Service Certificate from chairman Terry Evans. Baritone Charlie McFee received his 10 Years Service Certificate from chair Terry Evans. Baritone Tony Hesslegrave also received a 10 Years Service Certificate from the chairman.
Basses Phil Mumford and Ken Sanderson received their 15 Years Service Certificates.
Choristers and guests enjoyed their meal, companionship and looking back on a very successful 2023.
The Choir like to thank secretary Michael Slade, plus Pat Jenkins and his staff at the Giltar for all their hard work to make this event such a success.
