The Big Christmas Paintalong takes place at Ronni’z Lounge on Tenby’s High Street on Thursday.
Starting from 6.30pm, this Thursday, November 30, it’s open to adults of all abilities. You get three paintbrushes and five colours. Enjoy Christmas tunes, food and drink, let Tenby-born artist Rachel Rasmussen guide you and be amazed at what you create! Call 01834 218388 to book (there is a charge for this event).
An established artist whose inspiration started at Greenhill School, Rachel now lives in Cardiff with her husband and four children, where she paints, teaches classes and exhibits her work while still managing to be a full-time mum!
You can see her artwork in Tenby in The Nook. You might also have seen Rachel on TV. She took part in five episodes of the Channel 5 series Watercolour Challenge, being declared the winner in one of them. Her ethos, and one of the reasons she is introducing her Paint Along events to Tenby, is that art is for everyone. Anyone can do it, if they approach it step by step, and it’s great for wellbeing.
The Ronni’z Paintalong is just for adults, but on December 9, at the De Valence Pavilion, from 5-7pm, it’s time for the whole family (ages 7 and up) to spend quality time together.
Follow a step-by-step live tutorial with Rachel to create ‘Percy the Penguin’ for you to take home.
The family event promises two hours of arty fun, Christmas music, and festive refreshments to buy on the day. To see prices, and book, visit www.rachelannerasmussen.co.uk .
