Open Farm Sunday is back for its 18th year. Marking farming’s annual, national open day, this year’s event will take place on Sunday, June 9, where hundreds of farms across Britain open their gates to the public.

Organised by global sustainable farming charity LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), the event offers everyone a fantastic opportunity to see farming with nature at first hand.

Open Farm Sunday is a great family day out. Each farm is unique and every farmer too, but what they all share is a passion for farming and telling their story, amazing expertise, and a commitment to farming with nature as our ‘Guardians of the Earth’.

Gelli Aur College Farm in Carmarthenshire will be open from 12-4pm on Open Farm Sunday.

Visitors will be able to see a range of activities based around the daily routines of a busy dairy farm. This will range from a milking demonstration to feeding the calves. Also on the day will be a shearing demonstration and a chance to see the farm machinery. Other diverse businesses and services will also be present.

So, clear the diary and pop on your wellies! Admission is free. More information on www.farmsunday.org.
