In Honoured Memory: On Friday, November 11, a memorial service took place at Greenhill to respect one of the school’s former students - Nick Webster Smith. Nick was killed whilst serving in Afghanistan in 2009. Nick was a student who gave so much to the school and contributed in so many ways. He participated in many sports as player, coach and referee. He also contributed to a range of areas across the school, giving of his time to help others; and he also made his appearance in the infamous VI Form show.
Greenhill welcomed over 30 guests including Nick’s mother Jackie and her friend Margaret. Many of Nick’s friends from school and local sports clubs attended, with some of their parents and former staff of Greenhill. We unveiled a new memorial board as a permanent memory to honour Nick. The board was coordinated by Justin Richards and skilfully created by one of our very talented members of staff, Doug Chapman. The memorial board was finished by Tredeml Print of Tenby, who completed the board to the highest specification. We would like to thank Tredeml Print for their outstanding work.
Nick will never be forgotten.
Anti-Bullying Week: Anti-Bullying Week 2022 is coordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. It takes place from November 14 to 18, and this year has the theme Reach Out. Two of Greenhill’s form classes (Webb 4 and Webb 5) teamed up to create their own presentation, and members of both forms presented them all to all four House Assemblies this week. Well done to both forms and especially to those who stood up and presented to peers.
