The entries into this year’s Kilgetty in Bloom competition was the highest in numbers for many years, and all the gardens were of a very high standard.
Judges found it hard to chose the winners but after a long chat, they chose the following:
Class 1 Front Garden - 1st K. Allen; 2nd R and R Buchanan.
Class 2 Rear Garden - 1st K. Allen; 2nd G. Lewis.
Class 3 Window boxes, tubs and hanging baskets - 1st J. Long; 2nd N. Bowles
Class 4 Over 80s Garden - 1st V. Evans; 2nd O. Davies.
Class 5 Original Theme - 1st O. Davies; 2nd K. Hamer.
Class 6 First Time Entry - 1st A. Phillips; 2nd N. Bowles
Class 7 Vegetable Garden - 1st N. Bowles; 2nd S. Jones and family.
Class 8 Creative Feature - 1st D and S Moore; 2nd M. Allen.
Class 9 Shillingford Park Shield - 1st R and R Buchanan; 2nd J. Lynch.

The organisers have offered a thank you to the volunteers of the Community Association and Kilgetty Gardening Club for organising the strawberry tea.
