A resident of Clayford Road, Kilgetty has written to Pembrokeshire County Council to request a 20mph be considered for the road, as it has “become a short cut” to avoid the slower speed restrictions
“Sat nav systems are now encouraging vehicles of every size to take the Clayford Road route, including buses and large lorries,” says resident Frank Booth.
As a single lane route with few passing places, Clayford Road has sharp bends and blind corners.
In his letter to Will Bramble at County Hall, Mr Booth suggested making Clayford Road a 20mph speed restricted area with signs and possibly sleeping policemen.
“It is only a matter of time until there will be a fatal road traffic accident here,” he warned.
