Ten unusual Welsh locations have experienced an impressive surge in the number of holiday enquiries this year, according to holidaylettings.co.uk.
New data from the holiday rental giant has revealed that the number of enquiries for Kilgetty, and several other Welsh locations, has more than doubled in the last year.
Jack Johnson, spokesperson for holidaylettings.co.uk, said that there is a growing demand for hidden gems across the whole of Wales.
“Travellers love visiting traditional spots like Tenby and Swansea, but people are really starting to get a taste for off-the-beaten-track locations like Kilgetty,” said Jack.
“In 2016, the Pembrokeshire village has already seen a 237 per cent year-on-year percentage increase… and the year’s not even over yet!”
With demand in the area now at an all-time high, Jack believes that local homeowners could start to earn themselves additional income by renting out their property or spare room.
“If you own a home in Kilgetty or anywhere in Pembrokeshire, you could be sitting on a potential goldmine!” he said.
