Having just completed a successful week of panto with their production of Aladdin, Saundersfoot Footlights have now turned their thoughts to next year’s show. If you can act, sing or dance, they want you to join them on Skid Row as they bring to life the classic Little Shop of Horrors!

There will be a pre-audition workshop on Wednesday, January 3, at 7 pm, in the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot. The workshop will cover audition songs and character notes, so will be useful for all those who wish to audition.

The team will then be back in the Regency Hall on Sunday, January 7, at 1 pm, for an exciting day of auditions, which are open to anyone aged 14 or over.

Little Shop of Horrors is one mean, green, monster musical! In this charming, kooky and hilarious 1950s sci-fi spoof, meek flower shop assistant Seymour pines for co-worker Audrey, who has a knack for attracting unsuitable boyfriends. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant which he names Audrey II, but this plant eats like no other plant you’ve seen! The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store, but can Seymour keep up with its increasing demands for food?

Footlights rehearse on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, starting the week after the auditions, and the show will be performed every evening during the spring bank holiday week, opening on May 28 and running through to June 1.

Not everyone at Footlights is on stage, they are always keen to hear from anyone who would like to help the ‘behind the scenes’ departments of costume, lighting and sound, scenery and kitchen to support the cast in providing another ‘Best Show Yet!’
