St. Issell's Parish Church, Saundersfoot, was the setting for the wedding on June 22 of Jeff Pocklington and Sophie Evans.
The groom is the younger son of Martyn Pocklington and Jacqueline Thurlow, of Lincolnshire, while the bride is the only daughter of Graham and Sonia Evans, of Begelly.
Given away by her father, Sophie wore a bridal gown of ivory dupion silk by Canadian designer Paloma Blanca, supplied and customised by Emma Phillips Bridal, Carmarthen. Her hand-tied bouquet comprised white avalanche roses, hypericum and myrtle.
Maid-of-honour was Jessica Danielson, with bridesmaids, Alice Niven and Elizabeth Edgar, friends from medical school. They wore cocktail-length dupion silk gowns in aqua, complemented by pearl accessories. The flower girl was Emilia Smith, who wore an ivory ballerina-length silk dress.
Best man was Neil Smith, childhood friend of the bridegroom, with Jason Pocklington, brother of the groom, and Nick Evans, cousin of the bride, as ushers.
The ceremony was conducted by Father Paul Davies, accompanied by organist Andrew Cusworth, both longstanding friends of the bride. During the signing of the register, 'I Carry Your Heart With Me' by E. E. Cummings, music by A. Cusworth, was performed by A.M.A. Vocal Trio.
The bridal party flowers, church and reception flowers were in shades of white, ivory and dark green, all superbly arranged by Jan Griffiths, ably assisted by members of Tenby Flower Club.
The wedding breakfast was held at Trefloyne Manor in a marquee supplied by Blue Sky Marquees. This was followed by dancing well into the evening to a seven-piece band.
Jeff and Sophie spent their honeymoon on Crete and Santorini and have made their home in Orston, Nottinghamshire, near to the hospitals in which they will both be working.
