Pembroke’s Mayor will be making a splash to see in 2017 as he takes on a popular New Year’s Day Swim for a good cause.

“As Mayor of Pembroke, MacMillan Cancer Support is one of my charities for the year, so I have been encouraged to go for the New Year’s Day Swim in Saundersfoot!” said Clr. Dennis Evans.

“I am still looking for sponsorship and people can if they want enter their names on a sponsor form which is located in Debbie Ludlow’s café, Little and Large on The Strand in Saundersfoot.

“The plan is to enter the water as the Mayor, but not wearing the proper robes and chain, as they are too valuable!” he added.
