Mair Lewis, community relations officer at RWE Pembroke Power Station, presents Clr. Jonathan Preston with a £250 cheque to purchase equipment for community volunteer litter picking equipment.

“We have now carried out three successful mornings clearing litter in Penally and New Hedges, where we have collected over 20 bags of discarded rubbish from the streets of the villages,” said Clr. Preston.

“Since launching this idea last year, the interest of people becoming involved has quickly grown. We can now purchase additional equipment for our teams. I’d like to thank Mair and Pembroke Power Station for accepting our request for sponsorship under the community funding scheme which will go a long way to providing us with the equipment we need.

“Anyone wishing to become involved can contact me directly or any member of the Penally or New Hedges Community Council.”
