Every year, Pembroke Power Station staff nominate a charity that will benefit from all site fund-raising events over the course of a year. This year staff voted to support the Paul Sartori Foundation, a local charity that provides a wide variety of support, health care for life-limited patients, equipment loan and bereavement counselling.

To kickstart the fundraising, Idris Evans from Port Engineering completed the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in nine days. Idris raised over £3,000 during the gruelling 186-mile trek across some of the most amazing scenery in Wales.

Toni Dorkings, fund-raising co-ordinator, said: “It is fantastic when local companies become actively involved in the charity. The Paul Sartori Foundation need to raise £2,500 every day to provide essential services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We look forward to working with Pembroke Power Station.”

Mair Lewis, community relations, Pembroke Power Station, added: “We are proud to name this year’s station charity. We have many different fundraising ideas to support this great local cause and look forward to getting involved.”

Pembroke Power station has supported over 40 other organisations so far this year.
