Local plumber Peter Kidney recently took on a charity challenge where he swam from Manorbier to Tenby in aid of the British Red Cross.

Peter was hoping to complete the swim in three hours but managed to come in at two hours and 40 minutes.

A magnificent £1,300 was raised for the charity from Peter’s efforts.

The British Red Cross are extremely grateful to Peter for this fundraising event and thank him for his support, and also thank everyone who kindly sponsored him.

Last but not least, special thanks must also go to Phillip Whittaker and his partner Diana Vickery for supplying the support boat and for giving Peter encouragement during the swim.
