PEMBROKESHIRE MS Paul Davies is backing a new petition calling on the Welsh Government to reconsider its position on an Autism Bill.
Mr Davies’ Autism Bill was voted down by Welsh Labour and the Liberal Democrats in 2019. He said: “An Autism Bill will ensure that a national autism strategy for Wales will be a statutory requirement and the services that people with autism can expect to receive would be enshrined in law.
Campaigners are now calling for a fresh debate on autism legislation as people continue to face challenges accessing important services. Their petition can be found at petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/246466
