It proved to be a very successful Pembroke Town and Country Show held in Lamphey once again this year with a record crowd in attendance at the showground.
The weather was perfect and there was something for all ages both in the marquees and on the field at the event, celebrating its 201st year.
This annual one day show, organised by members of Pembroke Farmers’ Club, took place on August 1 in beautiful parkland, overlooking Lamphey Palace by kind permission of the Phillips family.
“We are showing everyone what is good about rural life, it’s good for the farming community to show people what we do,” commented Club chairman Chris James.
“The farming community has become more fragmented over the years, it is great to have a day to bring people together,” he added.
The schedule will be out much earlier for next year’s show so look out for it online at www.pembroketownandcountryshow.org.uk
