The members of the Pembrokeshire Fundraising Group of Guide Dogs Cymru wish to say a huge thank you to Steve Hughes who celebrated his 75th birthday by walking 75 miles in seven days, raising almost £1,700 for the charity.

Steve was accompanied on his daily 11-mile walks by friends and supporters, finishing with a celebration at the Cresselly Arms, Creswell Quay, on October 19, his birthday, where he was joined by many friends, including guide dog, Nancy.

John Woolsgrave was also present, busking with his guitar as he had done in Tenby throughout the summer. John had raised an additional £400.

The Pembrokeshire Fundraising Group of Guide Dogs Cymru is extremely grateful to both gentlemen for helping raise much needed funds to help with the training of guide dogs who provide visually impaired people with mobility and independence in safety. Nancy also adds her thanks to Steve and John.
