This summer has been a season of celebrations for members of East Williamston Church.
These have included Diamond and Golden anniversaries, a wedding and the arrival of the church’s youngest member.
In July, the church held a Victorian tea. It was a successful day, the sun shone and there was plenty to eat and drink.
In September Lucy Swift from Uganda gave a talk about Child of Hope. East Williamston Church supports this Christian-based charity during Lent. It makes huge improvements for slum children and their families through its schools in Eastern Uganda, providing free education, healthcare and welfare to kids from the poorest and most vulnerable families.
Now the congregation looks ahead to a Harvest Festival, which will take place on Sunday October 1 at 5pm. Theme this year is Friends; the service will be followed by tea, coffee and Welsh cakes. The church is collecting non-perishable goods for the Narberth food bank.
Services are held on the first, second and fourth Sundays of the month at 9am, with coffee served on the last Sunday, all welcome.
