Here‘s what’s on at Tenby Library this February…
Baby Rhyme Time is on every Monday 10.30-11am during term-time, with songs and stories for pre-schoolers and their adults.
Welsh Rhyme Time/Stori a Chan is on the first Friday of the month, so the next one will be on Friday, March 1 at 10.15am. No booking is needed for these, and there is no charge.
The library also has themed activity packs for children, with puzzles and colouring sheets; this month’s topic is emotions. These are available for free, just ask at the counter.
Lego club is on Friday, 3pm-4.30pm. It’s free, no booking is needed, just drop in and stay as long or as short a time as you like. Lego Club is on every Friday that the library is open, throughout the year.
Adult Lego also runs throughout the year; the group meets as usual on Thursday 3pm-4.30pm.
If you have the urge to try something new, the Learning Centre is offering a Creative Writing course, Writing a Short Story, starting on Wednesday, February 21 at 2-4pm and running for five weeks. For further information, contact Tenby Community Learning Centre directly on 01437 770190.
The warm coat rail is back in the hallway outside the library; if you need a coat, please help yourself. If you want to donate, please make sure the coat is clean, in good condition, and all buttons and zips are fully functional. All coats are welcome, but especially men’s coats. Talk to staff before donating, as coats can be stored if the rail is full.
The Alive and Kicking Library Ball Project is still running in library branches in Tenby, Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock, and at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot. Balls of various sizes are available for borrowing for sport or fun, and it’s open to everyone, not just library members. Borrow one for half-term, or just for a weekend; just go in and talk to the library staff.
For more information, call Tenby Library on 01437 775151 or email [email protected].
