Congratulations to Tenby’s very own award-winning Eco Warrior, Anne Draper!
Tenby Town Council Community Engagement Officer was honoured with the accolade in the Tenby Observer Kindness Awards on Friday.
To a welcome of ‘Ogi Ogi Ogi’, the leading Welsh ultrafast broadband company’s Martin Jones paid tribute to Carolyn before presenting the Eco Warrior award to Anne Draper.
The Award recognises all Anne’s hard work with the Community Gardens and other town projects.
Her initiatives have brought about the Edible Community Garden within the Gilroy Phillips Gardens.
She has campaigned for a Plastic Free Tenby and is making the Town a more pleasant environment by enhancing public places, finding volunteers to help improve and maintain open spaces.
She is also part of the team that started the food banks to reduce food waste, and is part of Clean Seas Tenby.
Held at the De Valence Pavilion on November 17, 2023, it was the first Kindness in the Community evening in Tenby, but it won’t be the last.
We’ll be bringing more stories, pictures and videos from the event over the next few days.
