Tenby’s men’s teams enjoyed double success last Saturday, with both securing fine victories and picking up 26 league points between them.

At home on the Sutton Street green, the Five Arches seemed to make light of the damp miserable conditions as they gained sweet revenge over visiting Milford Haven.

Earlier in the season, the Arches had suffered a 12-2 defeat on their travels ‘over the bridge’, but they reversed that last weekend as a strong second half performance saw them romp home by 25 shots, 87-62, winning on three rinks and losing on one.

At Pembroke Dock, meanwhile, the Tenby team went one better, warming up for their important Carruthers Shield clash against RTB Ebbw Vale tomorrow (Saturday) with a 97.5-45 hammering of the Dock team.

The four-rink victory also helped them keep their title hopes alive, with the 14 points collected for the whitewash being vital in their efforts to chase down the current league leaders Haverfordwest.

Bonus Ball

The winner of last Saturday’s bonus ball was Helen Spencer with number 41. Congratulations.
