Angle RNLI have responded to four incidents recently.

On Friday, November 15, Angle All-Weather Lifeboat was requested to launch following a Pan Pan call from an 18ft vessel with machinery issues off Pennar Point.

The lifeboat launched shortly after 10.30am and soon located the vessel at anchor in shallow water. The lifeboat went alongside and after a brief chat with the skipper a tow was passed to the casualty vessel. A short tow commenced and not long after both boats arrived at the entrance to Neyland Marina. The casualty vessel was placed alongside and left safely on the fuel pontoon.

The lifeboat was back alongside the jetty by 12.30pm.

Two days earlier, whilst conducting an afloat exercise the crew was diverted to assist in the search for a missing female in the West Angle area.

The lifeboat made best speed to the area and commenced a search, but was subsequently stood down as the female was located safe and well making her own way back to the car park. St Govan’s and Tenby Coastguard Rescue Teams were also tasked to assist.

It followed a search for a missing fisherman at St Brides Haven in late October alongside St David’s All-Weather Lifeboat, Little Haven Inshore Lifeboat, Dale and Broad Haven Coastguard Rescue Teams and Dyfed Powys Police.

Passing Marloes, the crew spotted lights on the shore which the coastguard team confirmed were from the missing fisherman and that he was safe and well. With the fisherman being walked off the beach, all assets were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside the jetty and closing down by 12:30am.

The day before, Angle RNLI was paged to assist an ongoing police incident on the Cleddau Bridge. However as the crew were mustering, the situation was safely resolved by the police.
