Firefighters from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s Haverfordwest Fire Station waded in to rescue two ducks over the weekend.

On Saturday, September 28, they were called to an incident on the River Cleddau near Quay Street.

Following a request for assistance from the RSPCA, the crew responded to two ducks that had become tangled in a fishing line in the river and were in distress.

After donning their wading gear, Firefighters were able to catch the ducks in a net and release them from the fishing line before putting them in the care of the RSPCA.
