ONE young boy’s love for football has made a lasting impact on our community.
Frustrated by having nowhere to practise, he and his friends would often use jumpers as goalposts in the local park. Determined to make a change, he took it upon himself to write to the Carew Community Council, asking for a real goal to be installed.
The council was inspired by his initiative and reached out to Pembrokeshire County Council for permission. Thanks to his efforts—and with the amazing support of parish residents who helped install the goal—a permanent goal has been set up in the Redberth park! Now, all local children have a place to play, practise, and enjoy the game they love.
This is proof of how one person’s passion, combined with community support, can make a difference for many. A huge thank you goes to everyone who contributed to making this dream a reality!
