Following a Silversmithing Workshop with Sarah Emily Store on Friday, October 25, Carew Castle will be providing further opportunities to escape the chill and spark some creative magic with a series of immersive craft workshops.

For those looking to get into the festive spirit, the Christmas Needle Felting Workshop on the evening of Tuesday, November 5 will guide participants through the process of creating their own beautifully crafted one-of-a-kind decorations.

Perfect for crafting enthusiasts or complete beginners, the workshop will be held in the cosy surrounds of Nest Tearoom, tucked away in Carew Castle’s Walled Garden. Drinks and cakes will be available to buy, enhancing the seasonal atmosphere. Suitable for participants aged 12 and up, the workshop will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and booking is essential.

The Castle will also be offering two special after-school Kids Christmas Craft Workshops, where children can create festive crafts with support from staff. Materials will be provided, and those attending will have the chance to take home their own handmade holiday decorations.

Held at Nest Tearoom in Carew Castle’s enchanting Walled Garden, these workshops are a fantastic way for young creatives to dive headfirst into the magic of the holiday season, as well as indulging in a selection of the festive drinks and scrumptious cakes available for purchase.

Suitable for children aged 4 and above, the workshops will take place on Friday, November 8 and Friday, November 15 between 4pm and 5pm at a cost of £6 per child. Booking is essential at www.carewcastle.com. To ensure safety and comfort, all children must be accompanied by an adult. While adults may attend free of charge, it is kindly requested that only one adult accompanies each child, as space within the tearoom is limited.

Manager of Carew Castle, Daisy Hughes, said: “Carew Castle’s winter workshops provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy creative activities in a historical and festive setting. Those interested in taking part are encouraged to book their places early to ensure they don’t miss out on these magical experiences.”
