Kilgetty WI members enjoyed an entertaining presentation on dentistry from AJ Bhattacherjee (dentist) of Water Street Dental surgery in Carmarthen.

Dental information on prevention, decay, gum disease and trauma was all covered in a light hearted way and no doubt members will put these tips and advice into practice. Monica Thomas gave a vote of thanks for such an enjoyable evening.

Items from the newsletter were highlighted and members were encouraged to sign up to forthcoming events and trips. Members were unanimous in favour of donating a new bench and plaque for outside St Mary’s Church in Begelly.

Monica Thomas was thanked for providing flowers for the top table and birthday wishes went to six members - Nicole Bowles, Kath Breen, Penny Lacy, Karen Merriman, Susan Pettigrew and Jayne Shorten. Treasurer Sylvia Wright gave her monthly financial report and Nicole Bowles updated members of President Lyn Lawson’s progress. Kilgetty Village Fayre in August was discussed and ideas for stalls were requested.

The evening was rounded off with refreshments served by hostesses Julie McFee and Susan Pettigrew. Linda Price was the lucky raffle winner.

The next meeting is at Kilgetty Community Centre on May 13.
