A PEMBROKE Dock woman will stand trial for allegedly wounding with intent.

Samantha Beattie, of no fixed abode, Pennar, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on January 13, accused of wounding with intent at an address in Cross Park.

With no plea entered, the 51-one-year-old was remanded in custody pending the next hearing at Swansea Crown Court - plea and trial preparation - expected to be held at 9am on February 14.

While the full argument was heard on this application for bail, remand before conviction was based on the defendant’s likelihood to offend. It was also to prevent interference with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice, whether in relation to the defendant or any other person.
