SPAN ARTS is thrilled to be hosting BAMBOO by NoFit State on Saturday, August 10.

This spectacular new high-impact, high-skill outdoor circus production using only bamboo and human bodies held within the beautiful grounds of Colby Woodland Garden promises to be an exceptional event for the whole family.

BAMBOO sees the artists arrive at an empty stage, bringing bundles of bamboo. They build towering sculptures which morph, transform and become an improbable, delicate circus playground that seems to defy the laws of physics. The show, inhabited by world-class circus artists and acrobats, will use this mastery of circus skills to reveal the fragility and beauty of our interconnected and interdependent life on this planet as the structures bend, and flex, adding to the tension, drama, and sense of jeopardy that lies at the heart of great circus.

Through their creative community programme, NoFit State engages with and inspires people of all ages.

This outdoor performance promises exquisite acrobatics amidst the magical and picturesque setting of Colby Woodland Gardens, near Amroth. The tall ancient trees will set the scene for a thrilling circus spectacle.

This will be a ‘Pay What You Can’ event with tickets priced from £3. It is expected to be a very popular event, so pre-booking your tickets online through the SPAN arts website or call 01834 869323 is strongly recommended to secure your place at one of two outdoor performances being held that day.

Some mats will be available for people to sit on the ground at the front of the performance, but the remaining audience will be standing. The site is wheelchair accessible; email [email protected] to ask any questions about accessibility before booking.
