The West Wales Maritime Heritage Society in Pembroke Dock are are holding an Open Day to celebrate their 40th anniversary this month.
The society welcomes all members of the community to join volunteers at the Maritime Museum and boatyard on July 13, between 10am and 4pm for their celebratory Open Day including the cutting of the cake by Pembroke Dock mayor Cllr Maria Williams.
For children, there will be a treasure hunt, and remote controlled boats for children of all ages! Or why not try the Escape Boat, which is only £5 per person?
And that’s not all! The society promises many other activities at the boatyard.
Refreshments will be available on site, while local folk band Dead Men Walk In will be providing musical entertainment.
Founded in 1984 by a group of enthusiasts, the WWMHS is a voluntary society where dedicated volunteers preserve maritime heritage for future generations to enjoy.
The Maritime Museum is situated at the historic Hancock’s Boatyard, Front Street, SA72 6JY, near Y Cerrig Glas. There is plenty of free parking nearby at the Western Way car park.
